[AD] Hada Labo Perfect Gel (3 in 1 Ultra Hydrating Gel)

Sponsored Review:

Dehydrated skin has always been my main concern for my face. This might be due to the reason that I have been using the Air-con most of the time. And it makes my skin super dry..

Do you also know that sleep is the best time for the body to repair itself? This allows effective absorption of of face, hair and body products and Hada Labo has introduced the new Perfect Gel (3 in 1 Ultra Hydrating Gel) to replenish the skin's moisture with deep relaxation while you are sound asleep.

Of course, being (3-in-1), Hada Labo Perfect Gel can be used for essence, cream and mask.

Hada Labo sent me the product together with the really cute Panda eye mask as well!

"Hada Labo stands for the lifestyle philosophy of 'PERFECT x SIMPLE' a skincare range that brings beauty back to the basics - perfect, simple and confident.

To fulfill the commitment of healthy and perfect skin, Hada Labo emphasizes simplicity in its skin care process, removing all the unnecessary additives, colorant, fragrance and mineral oil that will burden the skin. Only the finest, purest and highly effective ingredients that are beneficial to the skin are retained to ensure maximum effectiveness."

The Hada Labo Perfect Gel has a rich cream texture for you to apply on your face as a facial mask before you go to bed. On first apply, it could be a little sticky, but it gets absorbed into your face overtime, causing your skin to be hydrated and smooth.

So what makes Hada Labo Perfect Gel so great for deep and long-lasting moisturization while you're asleep?

Hyaluronic Acid:
Able to hold 6l of water per gram, providing intense moisture to the skin when applied

Super Hyaluronic Acid:
Able to hold 2X as much water than Hyaluronic Acid per gram, providing maximum moisturization

Nano Hyaluronic Acid:
Able to penetrate deep into the skin, providing long lasting and deep moisture to the skin

Collagen:
To provide firm, elastic and wrinkle-free skin
Prevents our skin from having wrinkles, large pores and poor skin clarity

Ceramide:
Hold and repair the surface skin cells together for a healthy, smooth skin

This is how it looks like when you apply the Perfect Gel on your skin. After some time, the gel will fully be absorbed into your skin to provide radiant and smooth texture. It has a water gel-based texture with white creamy colour. But when you apply onto your skin, it looks translucent.

Take sufficient amount and spread over face & neck.

Then gently massage to allow absorption into the skin.

After applying and letting it absorb, my skin really felt smoother and softer to touch. Because of its hydrating nature, my skin is replenished with sufficient skin nutrients. Hada Labo Perfect Gel is also pH balanced and has low irritation as it's free of fragrances, mineral oil, alcohol & colorant. When it comes to buying skincare products, I would always prefer buying natural and fragrance-free products. Some products give me acne problems after applying but this did not give me any pimple or sensitive skin issues.

Every girl/ woman worries that their skin will become saggy and wrinkled as they age and lose collagen in their body. With Hada Labo Perfect Gel, the collagen ingredient provides firmness and elasticity to their structures and maximizing collagen levels will keep our skin supple and healthy-looking!

With the multi-function of this product, one can also cut down on the daily routine of applying XXX number of facial and skincare products onto the face. Well of course, Hada Labo Perfect Gel still works best with their other products as well.

This cute Panda Eye mask that Hada Labo has sent me also has efficacy of improving eye circulation, removal and relieves strain and fatigue, it restores ciliary muscle flexibility, reduces eye congestion, suppresses weak eyesight, and improves eyesight. There are many other functions of this eye mask written at the back of the package.

AND IT'S SO CUTE AS WELL!!!! Can wear it to sleep and still looking presentable at the same time.

Hada Labo Perfect Gel can be bought at Watsons, Guardian and SASA at a retail price of S$35.90 for 80g.

De Conti - Coffee & Ice-cream // 1-for-1 opening promotion

De Conti is an Italian Coffee & Gelato cafe which is newly opened at Tampines One outlet recently. Met up with my 2 friends Cy & Iris to try this new cafe because of the 1-for-1 promotion!

I think that this place is a nice place for you to chill with your friends because of the spacious surroundings and the cozy ambience. But due to the limited seats, I wouldn't recommend students to study there because you will be occupying the seats for too long.

For their new opening promotion, there's 1-for-1 Gelato ice-cream when you present your student pass. Promotion is available from Monday-Friday at 4 - 6pm and is valid till only 16th August 2013.

Anyway, here's what we ordered!

Regular sized Gelato ($7)
Tiramisu and Hazelnut flavour

Gelato is always more thick, milky, and tastes more dense than normal ice-cream. And Italian always makes ice-cream sounds more premium, at least to me. I've picked Tiramisu because it always has this bittersweet taste in it which I really like. First half of the cup was pretty nice, but towards the end it was already too sweet for me.

Before I ordered the Gelato, I've tasted the Banana flavour and I didn't like it though. Tasted like some overripe bananas.. If not, hazelnut is a good choice too, for people who do not like overly sweet stuff.

There are other flavours such as Chocolate, Dark chocolate, Pistachio (One of my other all-time favourites), Vanilla, etc. Other sizes small ($5.50) and large ($8.00) available too. I already feel that they are giving extra generous amount of ice-cream for the regular cup already.

Italian Hot Chocolate ($5.50)

Iris ordered this. I got quite a bit of a shock when I saw the drink because it looks like thick chocolate fondue filled in a cup instead. It's the really rich creamy Italian chocolate without tasting too sweet. We were provided with a small glass of ice water to mix it into the Hot chocolate in case it is too thick to drink. So it's up to the person's preference of thickness of the chocolate.

Croissant with Fondue chocolate dressing ($4.50)
(Handmade by pastry chef)

From the look of it, it tastes really too sweet for me. But it looks really crispy with light flaky layers.

Tiramisu Gelato Drink ($6.00)
- I'm not sure of the name because I just described the drink that I want, and she told me the price. I'm too confused with the different drink names haha..

It actually tasted more like creamy milkshake. I was actually expecting Frappe but I guess this is good enough for me. I really like the milkshake as it isn't too thick nor diluted. The taste wasn't too sweet because it's blended with real Tiramisu Gelato, making it taste original. You can of course choose other Gelato flavours as well.

Kiseki Japanese Buffet Restaurant

This recent addiction of having buffets is getting worse, I am constantly craving for it ALL THE TIME. Even in school, at home, anywhere! I just feel like having buffets. The previous weekend I had Buffet Town, just found another popular buffet restaurant located at Orchard Central - Kiseki Japanese Buffet Restaurant.

TRUST ME, you will want to make a reservation in advance because its always fully booked and the phone line is forever engaged.. Hate walking in queues, but in order to satisfy my never-ending cravings, we actually went there as early as 4:45 pm to start queuing when the buffet starts at 6. Walk-in starts at 6:15pm while the reservation queue starts at 6pm. You thought we are crazy enough to queue so early, but you know? We're not the first in line.

I can't believe we queued an hour plus for buffets twice!

Boyf was saying that the restaurant made a fat Sumo outside the restaurant, which implies that everyone will get fat from eating here because the food is sooo delicious.

Kiseki serves a wide range of Japanese cuisine from cold seafood like chilled prawns, crayfish, etc, Sashimi, assorted Sushi rolls, Italian pasta & pizza, Western grills, Jap all-time favourites such as Tempura, Chawanmushi, Nabemono with delicious desserts & cooling drinks to perfect your meal.

Succulent Seafood spread

Snow crab legs are acceptable, but they are quite small compared to some other Japanese restaurants like Kuishin Bo. There were only very little pincers. Some were sweet, some were pretty average. So do not have high expectations from this dish, after all. You get what you paid for. And I think it's a really good deal already. What I did was to take more to compensate for the size of it :D

I didn't have clean hands to take a photo at that point of time, but if you were to cut open the meat, you would realize that the inside looks like those parasites found in the movie Pacific Rim!!! Creepy Crawlies. Haha, did I just spoil your appetite or cravings?

I think this is called 'GONG GONG', but I dare not try it because of the snail look. Well, I can imagine that it is seashell instead though.. Can anyone tell me if this is nice to eat?

Mussels are sweet and fresh, worth trying.

Sashimi Section

I'm quite surprised with the selection of Sashimi choices as other buffets usually only offer 2 to 3 types of Sashimi. At Kiseki, there's Salmon, SALMON BELLY (AHHHH!! I LIKE), Tuna, Squid, and later on there's even Hokkigai (Surf Calm) and some other Sashimi which I'm not sure of.

The FATTT salmon belly is just so delicious with its fatty and firm texture. The Salmon Sashimi here is better than most buffets I've tried before. Really fresh and they are really generous in the quantity and variety offered.

Western grills

For such dishes, each table is provided with some clips and you are supposed to clip on this if you want to order. The chef will cook it on the spot and waiters will serve it to your table when it's ready.

The scallop was reallyyyyyy good. That chewy & bouncy texture just makes you can't stop taking another one. We ended up having 2 plates of scallop. Having too much raw scallops for other buffets, it's time for a change in having marinated scallops which taste equally satisfying.

He really likes the fried assorted vegetables though. Can't remember how many plates he ordered..

Italian Pizza

All-time Jap favourite

Boyf said that the Tempura here is done really well. The crispy part isn't separated from the meat like those really over-cooked ones. Everything goes well together.

Sushi section

Salad Section & Cha Soba

I've tried the Salad, not too bad. Fresh vege, fresh corn, but just like almost any buffet restaurants.

Tako Yaki

Hot Pot selections

Chawanmushi

I swear that this Chawanmushi is one of the best I've ever tasted! It has a smooth, silky texture akin to tofu but this is so much more savoury. It's exactly like the milk custard I've tried in one of the famous restaurant in HK, just that it's a non-sweet eggy & Japanese version. Even after a scoop, the custard still looks so pretty because the whole bowl is free of bubbles and rough edges. I also like its 'wobbly' texture which means that it's really soft and just slurps down your throat easily.

I had 2 bowls of it, and I'm already craving for more now.

Desserts

Boyf said that the waffles was nice, but I didn't want to try it because I prefer waffles that are freshly baked like the ones at Gelare. But he's quite crazy over waffles so I guess it's up to his standard.

You have to try their other desserts as well. If you are fans of Japanese-flavoured desserts like Green tea & Red bean, then you should really taste their desserts and pastries.

Can't believe I'm spotting my favourite Macarons! Look at those Macaron "feet"!! I didn't like the other 2 colours so I took white.

Ice-cream section

Mango, Chocolate, Green tea, Black Sesame AND EVEN WASABI FLAVOUR?!

I can't believe that I'm seeing Wasabi flavoured ice-cream!!! I took 1 scoop of green tea, and a small lil scoop of Wasabi. But I spat it out after tasting a little because it's too SPICY for me!!! Nevertheless, what an interesting and unique flavour for ice-cream! Maybe you can prank your friends muahaha.

Other cakes & pastries

No idea what is this because they only wrote Chef's Recommendation.. But I love cakes with layers like that, because I love the combination of bitter plus sweet. It feels like Tiramisu to me. What I like about their cakes is that they come in smaller pieces which means you won't get bored eating the same huge chunk of cake.

And my favourite Tofu Cheesecake! You seldom see this cake anywhere else except in some Japanese restaurants. So I was super thrilled when I saw it. If you haven't tried Tofu cheesecake before, its basically almost similar to cheesecake just that it has a milder cheese flavour with a good balance of tofu. It is also a softer version of cheesecakes.

Anyway, if you want to try their desserts, remember to take them earlier. I took some at the start of the dinner. Lucky for me, because after we're done with the main course, most of the desserts, especially cakes and Chocolate ice-cream are already finished. And I don't see the staff refilling ):

The quality of food isn't as perfect but for such an affordable buffet price, I'm definitely back for more!
