Rollerblading at East coast park, Canton Paradise & T.G.I. Fridays!

New experience @ East coast park - Rollerblading!

Not exactly completely new as I have tried rollerblading in the past like many many years ago! But I haven't tried it with my boy. For a simple day out to rollerblade, it has cost us so much time & effort. But definitely worth it at the end of the day ^^ We decided to cab to ECP since there wasn't any direct bus to the place. Used to have 401, but I think it only operates on weekends! The cab fare was pretty cheap but turned out we went to the wrong bicycle kiosk. So we followed directions to the other one which we were told that it was near Mcdonalds. I checked from the Internet & it was stated '5min walk'. We ended up walking for kilometres before reaching the CORRECT location. Not forgetting that from the 1st bicycle kiosk to the Mcdonalds already took us long enough. Pfffff. What 5minutes walk. More like 5minutes drive.

We rented the roller skates for S$12.00 per hour its 1-for-1 so S$12.00 for 2 hours. I thought I could rollerblade since I could ice-skate but I was SO WRONG. Its actually much harder to balance  and the small obstacles (Stones, twigs, etc) seem so trivial but I kept tripping over them. I also had problems learning how to brake. I think its a phobia in me! & I think this links to the movie we watched 'Premium Rush'. Brakes are death! Hahaha. We were more stable after some time though (: I had more experience than my boy but turns out when its some stupid rocky roads with lots of small obstacles, I seem like a total noob & need my boy to hold me! ): Always have the feeling that I will fall if I brake. Couldn't make it after barely 2 hours my legs got bruise! Made our way to Katong 112 to have late lunch!!

Canton paradise again! Love the food so much that I just signed up for membership :D

Have done a review on Canton paradise previously. But just on the dessert & drinks. This time we had lunch. Highly recommended to try the fei po char siew!! Love fatty meat :D But I have to mention that I was utterly disappointed with the service..

This person came to take my order. Apparently she seems like she cannot listen to my words properly and she isn't familiar with the menu at all! I ordered Wanton mee + Roast meat noodles but change to hor fun. She gave me Wanton hor fun + Roast meat separately. And the worst thing is that even after a confirmation with all, she don't seem to know the difference between 冷奶茶 (Ice milk tea) and 原味冰镇奶茶 (Original Ice milk tea without ice). She keeps insisting its the same..

So when all the orders were mixed up, a senior waitress came along and retake the orders. But she left the wanton hor fun on our table, & expect us to scoop out the wanton from the hor fun to the plain bowl of noodles which came much later! Even the original Ice milk tea tasted a little diluted & I spotted 1 ice cube which isn't supposed to be there.. Disappointed ttm for the service on that day. But what to do, when I love the food there so much!!!

Went to catch a movie 'Premium Rush'. My boy recommended this movie!

Not a bad one indeed. Normal plot, BUT nice bike stunts! How amazing that he could predict every single route & he rides the bike like nobody's business! Go watch it if you're so much into bikes & drifting. (And I didn't realize he's the Robin guy from Batman until towards the end :x)
4/5 stars :D

We also had some arcade fun. Addicted to Initial D & Jubeat. Just love to drift! My boy taught me a few tips so that I managed to win the race ^_^ Can't stop driving on the machine.

TGIF! Coincidentally we picked this restaurant for our dining choice as I wanted something new. Bored of the old stuff! T.G.I Fridays!

& Yup it's always friday in here!

Was a little doubtful of going to this place as the prices were really much higher than what we usually go for on normal dinners. But we're so glad we didn't make the wrong choice! It's like a bar. Actually, there's really a bar in it! I actually stared at the menu for about 15min deciding what to order. Just looking at the drinks menu is a headache. & The prices were really affordable about S$12-15 per drink.

Decided to go for Electric Lemonade from their recommendation. Its vodka with lemonade from what I recall. A little sour & hot at the same time. Really nice! I didn't drink much I just took some from my boy. I would love to try the Tiramisu drink in the future~ Only heard of Tiramisu desserts but never drinks! *Keeps stealing my boy's cup of Electric Lemonade* Hehe.

I ordered a Chicken & bacon sandwich which is about S$16.00+ (I keep forgetting the prices..) I don't really fancy sandwiches but this is really yummy! The chicken is a little crispy and its not too dry. VERY FILLING as well :x

My boy can't stop saying how nice is his Beef burger haha. I don't really like it as it has a very strong burger smell. Had phobia of burgers when I went to US. Burgers & burgers almost every other day!! But for the restaurant's standard its delicious :D A plus point is that the beef patty is actually medium cooked! Not like the normal burgers which are well done.

I am so tempted to come back here next week again!

I have created Twitter as you can see from my right sidebar! :D Finally able to make it appear on my blog!!! *LIKE AFTER SO MANY TRIES*

Lenas again!

Back @ Lenas again! Its a different restaurant under MOF. Which is similar to My Izakaya. I think I did not blog about the previous entry of going to Lenas but I can say that its one of my FAVOURITE restaurants to go to! There's once whereby me & boyf went to Lenas thrice in a week! Serious. Affordable and awesome. As simple as that. Obviously, don't compare to those high class Western restaurants or steak houses. But with prices ranging from S$15.00 onwards, where else can you get such nice food?! Have I even mentioned that the desserts & drinks have such a wide variety too? I always go all crazy about the desserts there, but I usually ended up ordering drinks instead.

There was a special set lunch from S$9.80++. It means for every main dish you order, it comes along with a free ice tea/hot coffee + Salad of the day + Dessert of the day. Too full to try the dessert though, but the last time I went, it was super nice Vanilla ice cream!

Ordered Hazelnut Frappe too! If you like Hazelnut, should go for Hazelnut milkshake at Swensens. Seriously a lot better!

My boy ordered the Chicken Spaghetti. I forget the exact name. I tried a bite & the chicken tasted good but I still prefer the whole or half a chicken where I can cut it myself! Hehe.

I ordered Salmon as I was craving for it. My whole meal was really cheesy though! But I prefer the Pesto sauce salmon. & I love the Parmesan fries here! With 1 side dish it is S$19.00

AND CHECK OUT MY CUTE EEYORE (Part of anniversary gift from my boy!)

I really like this pic of Eeyore hanging on the stand. Adorable!!

Eeyore says "Lemme out!!!"

& Yep, thats basically all! Stay tuned for the next post! :D

Our 5th year anniversary to Gardens by the Bay & Todai

Our 5th year anniversary to Gardens by the Bay & Todai <3

Its our BIG SPECIAL day today - Our 5th year anniversary! Not kidding, 5 years already :D We went to Gardens by the Bay & MBS Todai to celebrate our day.

I think we were the only ones who wore "so-called exaggerated" outfits to these attractions. Everyone around us were dressed really casually in shorts & slippers! Besides, the long walk to the place really adds on to the heat & my poor boy was sweating really a lot when we arrived. But we chose the attractions which were indoor - Cloud Forest & Flower Dome. The prices were much affordable & I can easily spend half a day in it snapping photos all the way if not for worrying that my camera has not enough battery. For 1 conservatory it would be S$12.00 per person, but going for 2 is more worth it as its only S$20.00. With Safra card, passion card, etc (Any of their mentioned ones), we got ourselves 10% discount as well!

I really love to go to such places to take photos & build our memories in photos as well.

The place was generally considered COOLING, especially in Cloud Forest it was quite cold for me!   Overall, I actually prefer Flower Dome. Cloud Forest seems slightly more interesting as there's a big waterfall & there is a bird's eye view (There's a photo below later!) However, in terms of snapping photos, I think Flower Dome has more. Maybe the heavy rain later kind of spoiled our mood too. & The place was quite wet as well. Flower Dome is a good place for flower lovers, the place is filled with different types of flowers as quoted by my boy. Its a Botanic Gardens with air-con. I don't agree though! Its a lot better! Hehe.

Some sneak peek over here! The rest will be uploaded in my FB album :D

This was a Panorama shot taken with my camera!

& The bird's eye view I mentioned.

We cabbed back to MBS due to the heavy rain, they should really build a tunnel/shelter that links both ways completely. The shelter only leads us to the taxi stand. A shuttle bus would be good as well.

Headed to Todai buffet restaurant for our dinner at 5.30pm. Its better to go earlier, there will be no one 'fighting' the crabs with you. After about 8, that section is always empty & I would have to check every 10-15 minutes or so to get the bigger pieces. We actually ate from 530 all the way till 9!! I must say that the food & cleanliness there improved a lot. Satisfied meal indeed ^^ The price for weekends buffet is S$58++ which is about S$68.00. I think its pretty worth it! Kuishin Bo is a considerable alternative if you only want the seafood. It's mainly on Japanese food.

Snow crab section. I like those with pincers as it has more meat & easier to cut open too!

The Sashimi is normal to me, there's only 2 types - Salmon & Tuna. Quite boring.

Mussels, scallops, clams & oysters. I love the mussels its super juicy & the feeling of biting it is so great. Scallops are really good as well! I don't remember seeing much variety the previous time I came here.

Roast meat section which I didn't really try except for the beef. Not really good.. The rest look so filling that I didn't bother to try.

Some other cooked food. Nothing fantastic. I always go for the seafood that's the most expensive & delicious section!

Sushi bar

I was salivating & aiming for these lovely macaroons the moment I stepped into the restaurant. They always change their flavours, the last time was Chocolate. This round is Green Tea & Strawberry. I thinkkk its green tea.. Anyway I prefer the green one more than the strawberry :D I ate 2 of each flavour, that means FOUR!

Dessert corner where all the chocolatey & sweet cakes are!

I aimed for every seafood at the start & even took 2 maracoons in case they don't have stock at the end. This happened to me before where they left only 1 flavour.. We both took about more than 5 plates of crab too! I lost count of how many legs I ate. Greedy me!

I think I took about 3 plates of this & I finished most of them! I feel so hungry as I'm typing this.

& This beef rib is A MUST TRY!!!! The beef is so tender & soft, so juicy too. I ate like about 6-7 pieces all by myself. Its highly recommended especially for beef lovers ^_^

My boy came all the way to MBS to eat bread with strawberry jam & ice milo. *Tsk tsk*

& Lastly, I took almost all the different flavours of cake & FINISHED THEM ALL! My boy was quite full already so he didn't had any except for the chocolate waffles. He was quite shocked that I can eat so much dessert. I think girls have the ability to do so hehe.

I really had a super full & tasty buffet meal, thanks to my boy! It was an awesome time!

& Now, introducing the gifts that we prepared for each other ^_^

I got a baby Eeyore keychain which I really love a lot before my boy even gave it to me! Plus he got me Japanese frozen flowers that won't die so quickly like bouquet flowers. (I cannot keep dead bouquets at home) This type of frozen flowers do not require watering & can last up to 10 years! Besides, it will bloom during cold & dry weather, while close during hot & dry weather.

Thanks love!

I gave my boy a Piggy wool felt keychain which is DIY. It's a kit with fluffy wool felt inside which I have to roll it up & poke a needle to harden the wool. I'm actually very amazed how it actually happens. You can find it on Youtube! I also made a Ferrero Rocher Bouquet (Handmade too!) as I know that he's a chocolate lover! I know only guys give girls such gifts. But that's just a stereotype!! :D Anyway I just made it with satay sticks, cling wrap, coloured tissue paper & ribbon. Quite simple actually.

Hope you love those gifts! ^^
